Lieske - Russell

ROACHDALE – Russell John Lieske, 47, died at 10 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after an illness of several months. He had been a construction worker employed by Williams, Beck & Hess of Crawfordsville. A New Winchester High School graduate, he was born Oct. 14, 1926, a son of John A. and Clara Brandt Lieske. He was married to Betty Simon on Aug. 16, 1944. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Kaye at home; three sons, Gregory, Jeffrey and Michael, all at home; a brother, Raymond of Danville, Ind.,; four sisters, Mrs. Carl Estes of Melarie, La., Mrs. George Ball of Danville, Mrs. Cecil Helton Jr. of Hazelwood, and Mrs. Harold Rader of Bellville; and his step-mother, Mrs. Margaret Lieske of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold, and a sister, Ruth. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Perkins Funeral Home at Roachdale. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery.
